AUSTER J-5P AUTOCAR UK 1953

This aircraft is painted to represent one of the Austers flown by the late Brigadier Vic Pedersen who founded the famous Salvation Army Flying Padre Service in 1945 and until 1972 he flew extensively across the Top End of the NT. This particular aircraft was purchased by the Society in 2006 from Chris Harrison, who had brought the aircraft out from the UK and had flown it extensively around Australia.
